Silence is (sometimes) Golden After All
One of the reasons I sleep with a fan on all year long (yes, even in the freezing depths of winter) is because without it the night is too silent. I have to have noise of some sort around me at all times or I'll go insane.
There is always a moment or two at night, once both the children have been put to bed, and the husband has gone to sleep, and the dogs have lain down and I'm the only thing awake in the house other than the fish (and I'm pretty sure that fish never sleep) when I feel this PEACE.
And I realize it is because of the silence.
There was a moment tonight where Robert was watching Arrow (very loudly) and I was bathing Spencer, and Parker was in the bathroom with me and Spencer and the boys were having a squealing contest. It took every ounce of control to not shout at the two (three) of them to SHUT THE HECK UP FOR JUST ONE SECOND.
I have decided it must have been a parent who came up with the phrase "Silence is Golden."
Oh, also today I made this:
Not only did I make that I also made the blog that its going to hover above. Noner's Bookmarks is still very much a work in progress, but you are welcome to jump on the bandwagon early.
