Sands of Time - Wordless Wednesday

A tree, washed ashore on Tybee Island, pictures taken just 4 days apart.

“It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.”

  1. Looks like a storm rolling in on the first shot probably helped contribute to the sand. Both are great pictures - love the sky in the second one.

    1. It probably helped. The water was exceptionally sandy that week. Just sitting in the shallows with my baby boy for less than 5 minutes our swim suits (his and mine both) were full of sand.

    1. Very true. People often don't realize how quickly nature would reclaim herself if mankind wasn't around to keep holding her back.

  3. That's a great idea to shoot the same scene at different time to get two different looks.

  7. It's impressive how much the sand shifted - I guess that can happen quickly with enough wind and wave action. Nicely captured.
