Discover the Dinosaurs visited Savannah for 3 days, and we wanted to go see it. We didn't think we were going to be able to because of the AC dying on us and not being able to leave our pets shut up in the hot house with no air flow.
We did finally get to go Sunday. Here are a few pictures.
When we first got there he was scared. He's smiling a little in this picture, but he has my shirt in a death grip. If we tried to put him down he said, "Dinosaurs gonna get me!" (A small spinosaurus in the background.)
He got over it though, and was soon pointing at the different displays wanting to go see them. And once he realized you could push buttons to make some of the dinosaurs move, he was in button pushing heaven. (notce his dinosaur T-shirt special for the occasion)
This guy (dilophosaurus) was Parker's FAVORITE dino. We must have gone back to look at him 6 times before we left.
Robert scared him by acting lke he was going to put him in this giant T-rex's mouth. That's why he's crying in this one.
They had a place where you could "dig up fossils". They were at the perfect height for Parker, and he had fun.
He also had TONS of fun in the play land. It was full of small, brightly colored, friendly dinosaurs for the kids to climb on and play with.
The show was at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center, which is on the river. We were going to go outside and walk around and get some pictures, but it started raining as soon as we went out so we had to go right back inside.
And here are a couple more dinosaurs:
